Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday said that United States President Donald Trump didn't discuss with him about Crimea amid the ongoing war with Russia.
Zelensky said this when asked by reporters at a news conference in Oslo, Norway, about reports that Trump is considering recognising Crimea as Russian territory in a bid to satisfy President Vladimir Putin.
Asked specifically on whether he discussed the issue with Trump, Zelensky said: "That [Crimea] is a Ukrainian peninsula, President Trump did not raise this with me.
"You can do many things. Five star hotels, many different buildings," he said, adding that without Ukrainians, the tourists won't come.
According to Zelenskyy, the area is declining in Russian hands.
"Everything is just dying out," he said.
Recall that Russia annexed Crimea in 2014.
Russia had presented the United States with a list of demands for a deal to end its war against Ukraine.
